He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Rose and Hilda Rose (Grabenstein); his wife Dorothy M. "Dot" Rose (Shoemaker); his daughter Debra Brown; his sisters, Delores Rose, Hilda Peterson, Mary (Bert Hadley) and Loretta Dixon; his brothers-in-law, Jim "Crabby" Crabtree, Clarence "Dewey" Shoemaker and Sam Wandless; and his parents-in-law, Mary and Lee Carpenter.
He is survived by: his sons, Leo M. Rose (Ruth) and Joseph P. Rose (Sherrie); his son-in-law Scott Brown; his grandchildren, Gail Lynn Miller, Scottie Brown (Morgan), Heather Flanagan (Brett Hose), Jodie Mario (Kenny) and Joseph P. Rose, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Allie Miller, Abigail Hose, Jason Brown and Harper Hose; his siblings, Rita Crabtree, Don Rose (Sandy), George Rose (Rennie) and Paul Rose (Pat); and his siblings-in-law, Bill Peterson and Annalee Wandless. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; lifelong friend.
