He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cora Emma Koontz (Gower) and Jack Carson Koontz Sr. Jack; his wife Judith M Koontz (Knapp); his son Brian Welby Koontz (Misty); his grandchildren, Skyler Koontz and Brianna Koontz; his siblings, Robin J Thompson (Roland), Mark H Koontz Sr. (Christine) and Debra A Kendall (Jeffrey); his sister-in-law Peggy Diebert (Gene); and his close friends, Brian Miller, Zach Manspeaker, Bob Smith and Kory Harp.
