He was predeceased by: his parents, George Shoemaker and Mattie Shoemaker (Riggleman) of Oldtown, MD.; his son Harold Wesley Shoemaker, Jr.; his great grandchild James R. IV of Washington; and his siblings, George, Leroy, Donald, Tim and Velma.
He is survived by: his sons, Kyle Shoemaker (Joyce Liller) of Oldtown and Keith Shoemaker of LaVale; his grandchildren, Chenoa Wagoner (Alden), Cherie (Jimmy) of Washington, Cody Shoemaker, Shawna, Tylesha Shoemaker, Dustin, Tristin Shoemaker, Emilee Seigmyer (Raymond) and James R. III of Washington; his sisters, Mae and Jackie; and his brother-in-law Cletus Mallow, Jr. (Esther).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Prosperity United Methodist Church, 13505 Pleasant Valley Rd, Flintstone, MD 21530.
