He was predeceased by: his parent Ernest "Shortie" Slider; and his brother-in-law Thornton Robinette. He is survived by: his parent Mary Margaret Slider (McKenzie); his son Jay (Betty); his sister Judy Robinette of Oldtown, MD; and his cousin Rosemary Smith (Don). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
