It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Mae Rose (Oldtown, Maryland), born in Cumberland, Maryland, who passed away on May 4, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Shoemaker and Mary Shoemaker (Horn); her daughter Debra Rose Brown; her brother Clarence Shoemaker; and her brother-in-law Sam Wandless.

She is survived by: her husband Leo G. Rose; her sons, Leo M. Rose (Ruth) and Joseph P. Rose, Sr. (Sherrie); her grandchildren, Gail L. Miller, Scottie Brown (Morgan), Heather A. Flanagan (Brett Hose), Jodie R. Maraio (Kenneth) and Joseph P. Rose; her great grandchildren, Allie Miller, Abigail Hose, Jason Brown and Harper Hose; and her sister Annalee Wandless. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
