She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Garner and Florence Wright Garner. She is survived by: her husband John I. Mathews Jr.; her children, Angela Marie Beasley and Thomas Franklin Mathews; her daughter-in-law Yasmine Noza-Mathews; her grandsons, John Thomas Mathews (Elaina Christian) and Daniel Sinclair Beasley; and her sisters-in-law, Joan May-El, Linda Massey and Wanda Drain (Kevin Drain Sr.). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family, friends, and neighbors.
