He was predeceased by: his child Jerry Genova; and his siblings, Jerry and Joseph Genova. He is survived by: his wife Linda Genova; his children, John J. Genova Jr., James J. Genova, David Genova and Angela Gilliland; his brother Anthony Genova; his grandchildren, James Genova Jr., Kayleigh Genova, Matthew Genova, Evan Gilliland, Kate Gilliland, Gabriela Woodhull, Jarrett Genova, Lillian Genova and Joseph Genova; and his great grandchildren, Sophia and Arielle Genova. He is also survived by his family and friends, or ice cream with his grandchildren.
