He was predeceased by: his parents, Giuseppe Calcara and Clelia Berti; and his siblings, Giuseppe and Antonia. He is survived by: his wife Maria Figueiredo; his daughters, Carol Renee Calcara (Philip), Juliana Nela Calcara and Emanuela Calcara (Edward); his grandchildren, Emilia, Nicolette and Carolanne; his great grandchildren, Jack and Lucian; his brother Dante Calcara; and his cousin Paolo Calcara. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
