He was predeceased by: his parents, Rachel Hemp and Robert R. Hemp Sr.; his sister Sallie Hemp; and his wife Mildred Scanlon. He is survived by: his children, Kristen Hemp Small (Michael) of Townsend, DE and Brandon Hemp (Julie) of Ocean City, MD; his stepdaughter Kate Lennon; his stepgrandchild Parker of Mt. Kisco, NY; his stepdaughter Dr. Christine Lennon of New York, NY; his grandchildren, Khei Woods, Kayla Woods, Riker Hemp, Beckam Hemp and Blakely Hemp; and his friend Carol Flohr Hemp.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services (254 E Main St, Westminster, MD 21157). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Worcester County Humane Society.
