He is survived by: his wife Nancy Dorn Kalin; his stepchildren, David Esmond Jr. and Angela McDowell; his children-in-law, Kara Esmond and Ryan McDowell; his grandchildren, Emma Esmond, Leah Esmond and Andrew Esmond; his daughters, Kristi Sturm and Kandace Liberto; his sons-in-law, Lawrence Sturm and Tony Liberto; and his grandchildren, Lawrence Sturm Jr., Sophia Sturm, Alexandra Liberto and Giovanna Liberto.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to Coastal Hospice.
