He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter E. Bittinger and Bernadette Bittinger (Seibold); and his brothers, Donald E. Bittinger and Carlton W. Bittinger. He is survived by: his wife Mona K. Bittinger (Simpson); his sons, David L. Bittinger and Michael E. Bittinger; his sisters, Patricia Carter and Bernadette Reckart of Romney, WV; and his grandchildren, Nicole L. Bittinger, Jamie R. Watson of Clearwater, FL, Bradley M. Bittinger of Lennox, SD, Krystle Bittinger-LeClaire of Lennox, SD and Samantha Bittinger of Lennox, SD. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the Southern Garrett Rescue Squad or the Deer Park Community Volunteer Fire Department.
