He was predeceased by: his parents, Aurelius Lemuel Ellington and Addie Wilson Ellington; his wife Betty S Ellington; and his son Gerald Ellington. He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Gray (Jim Hoard) and Kenneth Hess (Becky); his daughter-in-law Yoshiko Ellington; his grandchildren, Ashley Benoit (Jayson), Daniel Gray (Cassie Space), Derek Hoard (Courtney), Sara Durr (Drake) and Erika Hess; and his sister-in-law Shirley Campbell Ellington. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
