He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Smith and Christine Marie Smith (McCloud); and his brothers, Roger L. "Rocky", Eugene "Stoney" and George D. "Jake" Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Adam of Oakland, Greg Smith of Oakland and Shannon Baker (Jeff); and his siblings, Gerald O. Smith and Sylvia M. Guthrie. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
