She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil R. Royce and Nettie R. Royce (Wilhelm); her husband Jennings Eugene Herndon; and her siblings, Peggy Rose Nester, Donald Eugene Royce, Guy Radabaugh and Kenneth R. Royce Sr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah A. Spurlock (Rodney) and Val J. Teagarden (Sherwin); her grandchildren, Jennifer Teagarden Parks, Stephen Teagarden and Travis Spurlock; her great grandchildren, Emelee and Cole Parks; her siblings, Roger Royce (Carol), Cecil Royce (Kay), Virginia Emelee Dewitt and Janie Royce; and her sisters-in-law, Virginia Davis (Harry) and Linda Royce. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
