Roy Guthrie Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2025, at the age of 77, Roy Guthrie (Oakland, Maryland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Guthrie and Virginia Guthrie (Savage); his wife Norma Lee Guthrie (Sweitzer); and his brothers, Roger Guthrie and Ronald Guthrie.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sharon McCormick of Uniontown, PA, Sandy Sisler of Oakland, Randall Guthrie of Hedgesville, WV, Rex Guthrie of Vindex, MD, Terry Knox of Statesville, NC and Robert Knox of Lonaconing, MD; his daughter Patricia True (Rodney Guthrie) of Kitzmiller, MD; and also Steve Davis. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Viewing was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the C &'s Fredlock Funeral Home (21 N 2nd St Ext, Oakland, MD 21550). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
At Roy's request there are to be no flowers.
