He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Sims and Jeanetta Sims; his close friend Mona Schultz; and his siblings, Wilma Jean Beatle (Richard) of Flagstaff, AZ., Neva Gifford (Robert) of Hampton, VA., Monzel, Jim Sims of Vindex, MD. and Sheridan "Barney" Sims (Phyllis) of Oakland, MD.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
