He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Kitzmiller (Ed) and Gertrude Kitzmiller (Uphold); his siblings, Carole Lee Kitzmiller and Robert King (Bob); his granddaughter Danielle Nicole Hessick; and his great grandchild Sebastian Jay Winters.
He is survived by: his wife Dorcas Kitzmiller (Bittner); his children, Richard E. Kitzmiller, Jr., Shirley Winters of Mathews, VA, Gina Downes (Joe) and Julie Harvey; his sister Nancy Wagner; and his grandchildren, Larry Dale Winters Jr., Joseph Blair Winters (Ashley), Kenneth "Wayne" Hessick, Kendra Jo Hessick, Kenneth Jay Harvey (Clarissa) and Rachel Leigh Harvey. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
