She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Ervin and Genevieve Lavada Friend (Knox); and her brother Ralph Friend. She is survived by: her friend Welch; her daughter Janet E. Welch-Gank; her granddaughter Lacy Marie House; her nephew Brad (Sarah Kisner); and her former husband Clyde Kemp Welch.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Newman Funeral Homes (1100 Memorial Dr, Oakland, MD 21550).
