It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Uphold of Oakland, Maryland, who passed away on November 18, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orva Guthrie and Hazel D. Guthrie (Ringer); her husband Theodore Angelo Uphold, Jr.; her sisters, Goldie Sisler and Emma Uphold; and her siblings-in-law, Dale Sisler and Barbara Hatch.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeffery A. Uphold (Gloria) and Gary W. Uphold (Delores); and her siblings-in-law, Dallas Uphold (Dottie) and Betty Lou Sisler of Friendsville, MD. She is also survived by five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
