He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Smith and Fannie Smith (McBride); his parents-in-law, Gabe and Roberta Felty; his siblings, Opal Monday and Earl Smith (Peggy); and his stepdaughter Valeri.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Jeannette Felty Smith; his siblings, Janet Moore (Louis) and Kenneth Smith (Hazel); his children, Lisa Reynolds and Robert Smith (April); his grandchildren, Madison, Marly Reynolds, Tucker, Justin, Preston Smith, Brett and Blake Smith; and his friend Joseph Schlabach.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored to have memorial donations to Hospice of Garrett County, PO Box 271, Oakland, MD 21550.
