He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Shaffer (Whispers) and Florence Shaffer (Barnes); his wife Sophia Shaffer (McDonald); his siblings, Ronald Shaffer (Carol) and Deborah Shaffer; and his sister-in-law Alla Shaffer.
He is survived by: his siblings, Perry Shaffer of Havre de Grace, MD, Loraine Stubblefield (Jack) of Cookeville, TN, Robin Ream (Dennis) of Stoystown, PA and Oliver Shaffer (Wanda) of Somersest, PA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
