She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Boden and Lucile Boden (Frantz); her husband William Perry Shaffer, Sr.; her children, William Perry Shaffer, Jr. and Carolyn; and her son-in-law Louis A Serafin.
She is survived by: her sister Sandra (John Haus) of Cumberland; and her children, Cynthia Sanders (John), Hugh Shaffer (Tammy), Timothy Shaffer (Cathy), Martha Partipilo (Francesco), Susan O'Brien (Michael), Joann Elizabeth "Beth" Smith (Rod) and Joseph Shaffer (Kimberly).
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes (21 N 2nd St Ext, Oakland, MD 21550). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church (208 S 4th St, Oakland, MD 21550).
