It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Yonker (Oakland, Maryland), born in Smithfield, Rhode Island, who passed away on January 27, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Thurber and Rosa Mae Thurber (Clarkson); her husband John N. Yonker; and her siblings, Clarence Thurber Jr., Alonzo Thurber and Dorothea Palmisciano.
She is survived by: her sisters, Nancy Hibbs of North Carolina and Joanne Williams of Rhode Island; and her children, Alice (Javad Darbandi), Eileen Amos, Susan (Bob Collins), Teresa (Larry Shue), John Yonker, Kathleen Yonker, Karen Rodgers (Missy) and George (Debbie Yonker). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
