He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Milford and Minnie Elizabeth Smith (Smith); and his siblings, Troy, Curtis, Carliss and Shirley Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Smith; his son Scott Smith (Karen) of Grantsville, MD; his granddaughter Kaitlyn Smith; and his siblings, Richard "Dick" Smith of Cranesville, MD and Betty Stewart. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
