It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Wine (Oakland, Maryland), born in Warrenton, Virginia, who passed away on June 11, 2019, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Wine and Sara Wine; and his niece Denise Wine. He is survived by: his sister Catherine Certo (Wine); his brother-in-law Francis Certo of Falls Church, VA; his brother George Wine (Monika) of Beaufort, SC.; his nieces, Kimberly Certo, Tonya Stamey (Eric) and Angela Certo Kiochandra (Pai); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ava, Nathan, Jordan, Kyle and James; his friends, Deborah Frantz and Paul Stadelman; and his pet Simon.

“I'm saddened to hear of Jerry's death. He was my good friend and co-worker for many years, and he often lifted my spirits when things got tough at work. He was a caring person who was faithful to his friends--and he had the most beautiful blue eyes. I haven't seen him for many years, but he thoughtfully called me every year on my birthday.
