He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Glotfelty and Evelyn Glotfelty (Welch); his brother Carl Leroy Glotfelty; and his children, Carl Douglas Glotfelty and Regina Katherine Glotfelty.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Sue Glotfelty (Reams); his son James H. Glotfelty (Diane); his sister Emma Catherine Glotfelty; his grandchildren, Kearstin Landis (Kenny), Britteny Hinebaugh, Amber Glotfelty (Curtis Kitzmiller), Sierra Townsend (Troy), Jack Hinebaugh, Kaelyn Glotfelty, Kyle Glotfelty, Lexi Green (Kelby), Haley Curry (Tyler), Nathan Glotfelty and Jayden Culp; and his cousins, Shike, Joe, Chome and Mikey. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

At his request, his wish was to donate his body to science.
