He was predeceased by: his parents, Corwin Burns and Mary Helene DeBerry (Sebold); his wife Harriet Virginia DeBerry (Beckman); his son Everett B. DeBerry, Jr.; his great grandchild Matthew Basile; and his sister Betty Ann DeWitt.
He is survived by: his children, Debra King (Clyde) of Glen Burnie, MD, John DeBerry (Pamela) of Stafford, VA, Thomas DeBerry (Becky) of Deer Park and Rebecca "Becky" Tasker (David) of Deer Park; his grandchildren, Kimberly Burckhardt (Paul), Roxanne Kilmer (Brian), Jonathan King (Melissa), Amanda Basile (Joe), Heather Haynes (Daryl), Jacob DeBerry (Jennifer), Allison Patton (KC), Adrienne Lopez (Brandon), Megan DeBerry, Ethan DeBerry and Brooklyn Tasker (Brendan Anderson); his brothers, Gene DeBerry (Janet) of Ripley, WV and Douglas DeBerry (Beverly) of Oakland; and his sister-in-law Gladys Wensel Faherty. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
Viewing was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes (21 N 2nd St Ext, Oakland, MD 21550). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
