She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Tobias and Mary Magnolia Marple (Metcalf); her former husband Roy Persing Long; her husband Clifford Earl Welch, Sr.; and her siblings, James Allen, Kenneth Paul, Terrance Dwayne Marple, Vera Mae Whisner, Cathlene Elaine Marple and Darlene Mary Smiley.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Henry Clayton Welch (JoAnna), Clifford Earl Welch, Jr. (Carol), Mary Catherine Long-Hinebaugh (Donny) and Reba Jean Long-Rush (Bradley); her siblings, Leon Marple (Jean), Evelyn Geraldine "Joy" Feaster of Keyser, WV and Maxine Shirley Sugars of Newcomerstown, OH; and her grandchildren, Donald Hinebaugh, Jr., Kimberly Gordon, William Cowgill, James Rush, Tracy Rush, Joel Rush, Terry Welch, Michael Welch and Faith Rodeheaver. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
