She was predeceased by: her parents, James R. Huffman and Esther E. Huffman (White); her husband Joseph Dayton Gay, Sr.; her brothers, Robert Willard and James Huffman; and her brother-in-law Eddie Mandato.

She is survived by: her sons, Joseph D. Gay, Jr. and Richard Gay; her grandson Aiden Mazingo; her sisters, Dorretta Jenkins (Tom), Ruth Mandato, Judy Bash (Ed) and Kathi Huffman; and her niece Brianna Shepard-Schell. She is also survived by other loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bayard Church of God or Grant County Hospice, 100 Hospital Dr., #2, Petersburg, WV 26847.
