He is survived by: his close friend Barb Fike; his children, Douglas Ringer (Shelba), Debra Ahern (Charly) and Donna Hoffman (Gene Barrett, Jr.); his sister Dorothy Bernard of Swanton, MD; his grandchildren, Kristin Hoffman Sheheen (Daniel), Amanda Kamp (Cody), Nicholas Ahern (Nicole), Sami Calhoun and Adam Calhoun; and his great grandchildren, Blake Andres and Sylvie Sheheen.
