It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Friend (Oakland, Maryland), who passed away on December 23, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Catherine Friend to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her friend Oakland; her parents, William Ewald Ruehl and Pearl Ruehl (Hansrote); her stepmother Evelyn P. Ruehl; and her son Bill Ravenscroft.
She is survived by: her husband Richard "Dick" Friend; her former spouse Claude Ravenscroft; her daughters, Robin Moreau of Urbana, MD and Catie Ravenscroft (David James) of Davidsonville, MD; and her grandchildren, Marni Huffstetler, Bill Kahn, Ken Kahn, Emily Walsh (Mark) and Cody Kahn. She is also survived by three great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
