She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Howard and Beulah Zehm (Mercer); her brothers, Ted Zehm (Johnny), John Zehm, Bob Zehm, Larry Zehm and Walter Cottrell; and her granddaughter Ashley "Buggy" Johnston.

She is survived by: her husband Claude "Tom" Persinger; her daughter Etta Sterling (Chris); her granddaughters, Lori Burns and Claudia McComas (Jesse); and her siblings, Roger Cottrell (Wanda) and Patsy Carter (David). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
