It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Leighton of Oakland, Maryland, who passed away on June 19, 2020, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara Leighton to pay them a last tribute.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dr. Herbert H. and Dorothy Leighton (Brock); her husband Mark Salsgiver of Oakland, MD; her daughter Rachel Dowling (Daniel Reese) of Munich, Germany; her siblings, Cathy Boulter (Jeff) of Lima, OH, Ann Leighton of Oakland and Vernon Leighton (Lauren) of Winona, MN; and also, Jennifer Salsgiver of Japan, Michelle Wolfe (Brook) of Conowingo, MD, Audrey, Phoebe, Jonathan and Victor.
In lieu of, flowers and cards, Barbara asked that donations be made to Garrett Regional Medical Center Foundation, Doctors Without Borders, or to the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, McHenry, MD, for the music fund.
