Arelene Friend Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 5, 2023, at the age of 83, Arelene Friend (Oakland, Maryland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russel Sherman and Ruth Bittinger (Bittinger); her husband Robert "Bob" Wesley Friend; her siblings, Willard Bittinger, David Bittinger, Rosalee Bittinger and Gloria McKenzie; and her grandson Anthony Lee Friend.
She is survived by: her children, Michael and Kimberly Ann Thomas (William) of Oakland; her sisters, Dorothy Hare of Salisbury, PA and Doris Engle of Meyersdale, PA; her sister-in-law Lois Bittinger of Grantsville; and her niece Charlene Friend. She is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; several step-grandchildren.
