He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Daniel D. Kauffman and Emma J. C. Kauffman (Miller); his children, Ellis Kauffman and Mary A. Nissley (Kauffman); his grandsons, Marcus, Justin and Darius Kauffman; his brothers, Joe, Eli, Aden, Danny and Benjamin Kauffman; his wife Ella E. Kauffman (Weaver); his children, Wayne Kauffman of Mattoon, IL, Paul Kauffman of Oakland, Joe Kauffman (Abbie), Abraham Kauffman, Jr. (Sarah), David Kauffman (Linda) and Miriam Swartzentruber (Abner, Oakland); his siblings, Crist Kauffman of Berlin, OH and Mary Miller of Fredericktown, OH; and his children-in-law, Mattie Kauffman of Strasburg, PA and Calvin Nissley, Jr. (Ruth Ann, Oakland). He was also cherished by three grandchildren; fifty-six great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
