He was predeceased by: his wife L. Ruth Dieter. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Dieter, Jr. (Sarah), Deborah Deaver (John) and Gary Dieter; his grandchildren, Stacy Gouldin and Jessica Deaver; and his great grandchildren, Camryn Gouldin and Jayden Kerr.
