She was predeceased by: her former husband John Howard Bell; her husband Gerard A. Green, Sr.; her siblings, Samuel, Eugene, Upton and Melvin Hallman; her stepdaughter Helen Thompson (Charles); and her grandchildren, Betty Thompson Evans (Lonnie) and John Foster.

She is survived by: her sons, Melvin Howard Bell (Jacquelin), Gerard "Gerry" A. Green, Jr. (Rita) and Vernon S. Green; her siblings, Thompkins Hallman (Washington, DC), Evelyn Roberta Hallman of Knoxville, TN and Esther Lyons (Curtis); and her grandchildren, Charles Thompson, Jr. (Tammy), Carolyn Thompson, Sherry Roaché, Cherry Thompson and Kevin Bell (Katrina).

Viewing was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fairhaven United Methodist Church (12801 Darnestown Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20878). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at the Pleasant View Cemetery (11810 Darnestown Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20878).
