He was predeceased by: his parents, William V. Stoppel and Jean W. Stoppel of Chestertown, MD.. He is survived by: his son David W. Stoppel (Kim); his grandsons, Justin and Gavin Stoppel of Bunnlevel, NC; and his sisters, Jeanne Smith (James) of Elkton, MD and Marsha Prescott (Joseph) of Port Deposit, MD. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
