Doris Speck Obituary

We bid farewell to Doris Speck of North East, Maryland, born in Elkton, Maryland, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 4, 2025 at the age of 88. Doris touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Bowers (Fritz) and Guy Bowers of North East, MD.; and her siblings, Arthur Bowers and Verna Finneseth (Bowers). She is survived by: her husband Joseph Speck; her children, Vernon Speck of Crownsville, MD, Nancy Metcalf (Bill) of Charlestown, MD, Janet Johnson (Robert) of North East, MD and Steven Speck (Carrie) of North East, MD; her grandchildren, Wesley Johnson, Christopher Speck (Gabrielle), Devon Johnson, Keegan Antonitis (Tim), Cole Metcalf, Delaney Speck and Michael Metcalf; and also Carla Speck of Riva, MD.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crouch Funeral Home (127 S Main St, North East, MD 21901). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at the North East United Methodist Cemetery (101 Cemetery Road, North East, MD 21901).
