He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Francis and Mildred Marie Bittman (Vacek); and his son Chuck Bittman. He is survived by: his partner Shirley Hawkins of North East, MD; his daughters, Michelle Chackerian of Oakland, CA and Dawn Cook of Oakland, CA; his sister Joan Venanzi of Abingdon, MD; and his stepchildren, Brian Hawkins of Clarksburg, MD, Michele Henning of Leesburg, FL and Laura Williams of Havre de Grace, MD. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Crouch Funeral Home (127 S Main St, North East, MD 21901). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
