She was predeceased by: her husband Wilfred Lee Koontz; and her parents, Harry Brown and Margaret Anne Brown. She is survived by: her grandsons, Geoff Koontz and Spencer Rhoda; and also, Wayne Koontz of Bethesda, Randall Koontz of Germantown and Marianne Rhoda of Chevy Chase. She is also survived by three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Molesworth-Williams P. A. Funeral Home (26401 Ridge Rd, Damascus, MD 20872). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. During Covid in 2020 she lived with her daughter for a year.
