It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philip Laverne Thompson of Newburg, Maryland, who passed away on November 13, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Hayden Thompson and Alice Arlene Thompson; his wife Betty Lou; his son Robert Allen Thompson; and his brothers, William Edgar Thompson, James Farley Thompson and Joseph Richard Thompson.
He is survived by: his sons, Philip Laverne Thompson Jr. (Christine), William David Thompson (Janet) and Richard Brian Thompson; his sisters, Mary Helen Murphy and Carolyn Ann Trossbach; and his great grandchildren, Jayden Dionson, Payton Grogg and Phil (late Betty). He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
