He was predeceased by: his father Melvin; his siblings, Elsie Mae Thomas, Mary Lockley, George Douglas, James Walter, Joseph A and Vincent Sylvester Thomas; and his godson Patrick Dorsey.
He is survived by: his siblings, Margaret (Helen), James R Thomas, Jr. (Paulette), Francis Charles (Desiree), William Thomas and Anne Hemsley; his sister-in-law Alice Thomas (Wells); and his godchild TaiJa'nae Evans. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
He was confined to Genesis Nursing Home during the early stages of the pandemic.
