He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Effie Dorsey; his sister Irene Savoy "Teenie"; and his daughter Julie. He is survived by: his former wife Vivian; his children, James "Tony", Janice, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Jonathan "Jo Jo" and Janita "Nita"; his sisters, Betty Ann Milstead, Anna Mae Craig and Emma Jean Payton; and his friend Wayne Lindstrom. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
