It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Thompson of Newburg, Maryland, who passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer Thompson and Elsie Farrell Thompson; and his brother Joseph "Sonny" Thompson (Barbara "Bobby Sue"). He is survived by: his children, Charles "Smokey" Thompson Jr. (Stacie), Jenni Mattingly (Jonathan) and Kimberli Hood (Patrick); his stepdaughters, Michelle Miner (Bob) and Terri Lusk (Michael); his grandchildren, Charles "Trey" Thompson III, James "Andy" Thompson, Abigail Mattingly, Logan Mattingly, Seth Hood, Ayriauna Hood, Nicholas Miner and Taylor Miner; his siblings, Mary Norris, Margaret Lancaster, Dorothy Pash and Harry Thompson; and his close friend Joan Lewis.
