She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Junior Vaught and Gladys Louise Musselman Vaught; and her siblings, Butch Vaught, Frank "Tweety" Vaught, Stanley Vaught, Connie Vaught and Diane Toomey.

She is survived by: her son Ronnie J. Schaefer, Jr. (Nicole); her grandchildren, Ayden R. Schaefer, Kyleigh M. Schaefer and Brennan P. Schaefer; her stepson Louis "BJ" Capps, Jr. (Ashley Fisher); her stepgrandchildren, Camden Capps, Landon Capps, Levi Capps and Layton Capps; her sister Wanda Warren; her goddaughter Dorie Wilson; and her friend Butchie Lamartina. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Ronald Joseph Schaefer, Jr. to defray the cost of the funeral.
