He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Irvin and Martha Barber Miller; and his grandson Nelson Sims, III. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Taylor Miller; his children, Guy Alan Miller (Wanda) of Taneytown and Rachel E. Sims (Nelson, Jr.) of New Windsor; his grandchildren, Alan Miller, Jr., Amanda Nusbaum, Tara Nool (Dominico) and Brianne Sims; his great grandchildren, Julian, Jaiven, Alyanna and Dalhia; and his sisters, Shirley Bell Rice of Monrovia and Bertha Saylor of Westminster.
