Roger Warren Van Laan Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 14, 2025, at the age of 102, Roger Warren Van Laan of New Market, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Laan and Anna Van Laan (Ploeg); his grandparent Dutch; and his wife Martha "Sue" Van Laan (Hester). He is survived by: his brother Lawrence "Mike" Van Laan; his children, Virginia Sue Sinclair and James Roger Van Laan; his grandchildren, Martha Sinclair (Lyle Jackson), Rebecca Sinclair (Tim Walker), Andrew Sinclair (Lauren Sinclair) and Robert Sinclair (Elizabeth Hartley); and his great grandchildren, Audrey Sinclair, Samuel Jackson, Henry Sinclair, Augustus Jackson, Sabrina Hartley-Sinclair and Quinn Hartley-Sinclair.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home (106 E Church St, Frederick, MD 21701). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Market United Methodist Church (5501 Old New Market Rd, New Market, MD 21774).
