He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Cassell Engel and Edna Rae Hook Engel; his wife Doris Elaine Putman Engel; and his brother Cassell Skip Engel. He is survived by: his daughter Gayle E. Lorenz (Carl) of Charles Town, WV; his stepgrandchildren, Brian and Heather Lorenz; his stepgreat-granddaughter Madilyn Lorenz; his brother Hugh Engel (Becky) of Taneytown; his siblings-in-law, Ruthann Engel of Walkersville, Carl Putman and Cindy Putman of Bristow, VA; and his cousin Bob Hook. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
