With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Walter Kenneth Nelson Jr. of New Carrollton, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 15, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kenneth Nelson, Sr. and Clara Nelson (Adamski); his wife Pauline "Polly" Kay Nelson of Clintwood, VA; and his brother James "Jim" John Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Kenneth Todd Nelson, Thomas Tyler Nelson and Tamara Kay Maria Nelson; his grandson Ian Zachary Nelson; and his sister-in-law Cathy Nelson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
